Month Three
KIT NAME: EXPLOSIVE SCIENCE
CONTENT OF THE KIT:
- Blast Off: In this activity, Baking Soda and Citric Acid Solution mixture reacts, when dissolved, to form a gas. The gas produced from the two ingredients is Carbon Dioxide. The gas fizzes, bubbles and rises up. The pressure from Carbon Dioxide keeps building & expanding inside the bottle, until the pressure from all of the contained gas forces the cork to pop out.
- Fizzy Bomb: It's time to transform your bath with fizzy bubbles, fun colour, and a fantastic fragrance. With this activity, you'll learn the science behind creating the perfect fizz and make up to 4-5 colourful bath bombs . Then dunk them in a bathtub full of water to release the sensational scent. So sit back, relax, and settle in for a good soak!
- Foam Fun: (Acid Base reaction creating foam): In this activity the chemical reaction produces a large foamy mess that looks like colourful toothpaste squirting out of a tube. The kid-friendly version uses chemicals that are safe for children to touch, in case of a splash.
